El 30 de abril celebró su 65 cumpleaños el Rey Carl Gustaf de Suecia, como es la tradición sueca el Rey salió al patio del Palacio Real de Estocolomo acompañado de su hijo Carl Phillip (solo pongo una foto porque es lindo verlo) donde recibió felicitaciones del público que se reunió para cantarle el feliz cumpleaños. Finalmente la familia real salió a saludar al balcón
April the 30th, Sweden's King Carl Gustaf celebrated his 65th birthday. As Swedish tradition dictates he went out the patio of the Stockholm's Royal Palace with his son Carl Philip, I just post a pic because he is nice to see, where he recieved congratulations from the audience the gathered to sing happy birthday monarch. Finally, the royal family went to the balcony.
Bueno, pues seguramente una semana después ya habrán leído toda la información posible sobre la boda de los Duques de Cambridge, pero igual quisiera dejar en este blog una pequeña entrada conmemorando EL evento.
Well, certainly one week after the wedding, you probably have read all the possible info on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wedding, but anyway I would like to leave a little entry on the blog commemorating THE event.
2 am sonó el despertador, y la verdad lo ignoré hasta las 2:30, seguida por Pascal y Watson pero estuve a tiempo para ver el momento en el que abrían las puertas de la Abadía y los primeros huéspedes comenzaban a llegar. Así que puede ver perfecto a Sir Elton John entrar, a los Beckham (aunque fue hasta después que recorrí las fotos que ví los zapatones de la embarazada Posh).
2 am, my alarm went on, and truth to be told I didn't crawled out of bed until 2:30 followed by my cats, Pascal and Watson, but I was on time to see the moment they opened the Abbey's door and the first guests walked in. Perfectly I got to see Sir Elton John and the Beckhams (although it was until later that I ran trough the pics that I noticed the huuuuge shoes of pregnant Posh)
Gran momento de frustración fue que la BBC decidió que era más importante ver los coches cerrados de los Wales, en lugar de la entrada de los royals, así que no Letizia, Máxima, Victoria ó Mathilde. Sólo pasaron la cabeza de la Margarita de Dinamarca, a Lalla Salma, un par de árabes , Alberto y Charlene.
Huge frustration moment was, when the BBC decided that it was more important to watch the closed cars of the Waleses, rather than the foreign royals, so no Letizia, Maxima, Victoria or Mathilde. I just caught a glimpse MArgrethe's head, Lalla Salma, a couple of arabians and my least favorites Albert and Charlene.

Then came the groom, escorted by the bestman, he used to be so handsome and now everytime he resembles more and more, the horror, his father ( I wonder if he thinks his HRHness is waaaay above the baldness treatments). Harry as usual was, the hotness!Very elegant in his new Captain uniform.
Luego fue la mamá y el hermano de la novia, Carlos y Camila, la Familia Real y la Reina. Sólo por ser su boda Kate debe llegar después que ella. Y justo cuando la novia baja del coche y nos revela su vestido (el cual se me hizo normal al principio pero cada vez que lo veo me gusta más), se abre el nublado cielo londinense y brilla el sol. Ipsofacto, recibo un tweet "It's DIANA! she is here!" . QUÉ ONDA CON SUS CURSILESCAS VIDAS?!.
Later, appeared the mother and brother of the bride, Charles and Camilla, the rest of the BRF and The Queen. Just because it was her special day Kate is allowed to arrive later than Her Majesty. When the bride steps out of the car and reveals her dress (which I thought was normal at first but has grown into me), the clouded london sky opens and the sun shines. Quickly I get this tweet "It's DIANA! she is here?!. What up with the corniness!
Se alcanza a ver en la TV que William le dice que se ve beautiful, ella usa anillo, él no, pero ella no jura obediencia, como tradicionalmente se hacía en las bodas reales.La nueva duquesa le hace una reverencia a la Reina y duque y duquesa salen de la Abadía dónde todo mundo aplaude y vitorea.
You can see how William says "you look beautiful", she wears a ring, he doesn't but she does not swear obediencie like it happened trditionally in royal weddings. The new Duchess curtseys the Queen and Duke and Duchess leave the Abbey to meet a cheering crowd.
Acto seguido suben al carruaje que los ha de llevar a Buckingham. La procesión inculye a los novios, a la Reina (que conservó el programa de la boda de su nieto), de nuevo por ser ocasión especial, se permite que alguién más encabeza un desfile real, las pajecitas con la bridesmaid (Pippa) y los pajecitos con el bestman (Harry), y fianlmente los papás del novio y la novia. Saldran al balcón y se besarán para sellar con broche de oro este día de cuento de hadas.
They got into a carriage, that should take them to Buckingham. The procession includes the bride and groom, the Queen, (with the service program in hand like any other granny) again, just because it was an special ocassion it is allowed for them to ride ahead of her on the procession, the bridesmaid (Pippa) and the girls of the bridal party, then Harry and the boys of the bridal party and finally the parents of bride and groom. Now, after 50 mins they will come out the balcony to conclude a fairy tale day.
Por supuesto, no olvidemos a la pajecita con cara de Chucky, tambien conocida como Miss Grace Van Custem, y ahijada del novio, que se tapaba los oídos.

Después, la recepción de la Reina, para 600 selectos invitados canpecitos y champagne. Y luego, al servicio de su majestad Wales, William Wales... y esposa salen de casa de abuelita a casa de papá en un Aston Martín descapotado.
Then came, the Queen's reception for 600 people with canapes and champagne. After that, at HM's service Wales, William Wales... and Mrs leave granny's house to go to dad's in an Aston Martin. It doesn't get more british than that!!
Ahora toca la fiesta del príncipe Carlos, Todos se cambian de vestido y Kate sale con otro modelito de Sarah Burton para Alexander McQueen. El cabello suelto y cardigan de ángora, la fotografían junto a Camilla, las dos mujeres que serán consoertes de los reyes de Inglaterra algún día.
Now is turn for Prince Charle's party. Everyone changes clothes and Kate emerges with a another dress from Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Her hair is loose and she wears an angora cardigan. She is photographed next to Camilla, the two women that one day will be the consorts of the next two english kings.
La prensa reporta que Michael Middleton dio speech, dijo cuando vió un helicóptero en su jardín pensó que a ese chico le gustaba mucho su hija!. El best man Harry habló también, se burló de la calva de su hermano y de su nuevo título "the dude and duchess" . William se refirió a su esposa como "su roca". La party duró hasta las 4 am y como de cualquier boda las mujeres salieron con zapatin bajo y los hombres con la corbata desanudada.
The press reports Michael Middleton gave a speech, Harry did too and made fun of his brother's baldness and his new title "dude and duchess" William spoke of his new wife as his rock. The party lasted until 4am and like any other wedding, women came out with low shoes and men with untied ties.
24 horas después Clarence House publicó las fotos oficiales (en las que es una pena que no arreglaran bien la falda del vestido de Kate). El duque y la duquesa partieron a OH SORPRESA!!! ningun lado! un fin de semana en algún lugar del UK no hay luna de miel por ahora, seguro los editores de los tabloides hicieron un mega berrinche, ellos que ya se hacían mandando paparazzis a un destino cálido y tropical. Y los Middleton dejaron el Hotel Goring, de acuerdo con el mail online, 250,000 libras más pobres.
24 hours later, Clarence House released the official pictures (it's a pity Kate's skirt was not well smoothed). Duke and Duchess left to SURPRISE! nowhere! just a couple of days somewhere in the UK. No honeymoon for now. I'm sure tabloid editors didn't like this, they probably were booking paparazzis aborad. Finally the Middletons left the Goring Hotel, according the the Mail Online 250,000 pounds poorer.
